This blog is conceived as a thought experiment, a creative exchange for ideas where a hundred trolls of different forms would be envisioned and rendered. From the Wikipedia entry on the mythical being: "In Old Norse sources, beings described as trolls dwell in isolated rocks, mountains, or caves, live together in small family units, and are rarely helpful to human beings." Troll On His Throne
Seated and looking hungry.
The Troll's right foot on the bottom left of the image, had to be basically inked and lined into oblivion because I made a major mistake. By the time I reached that corner of the page I was already unconscious - literally - I don't believe I heard a word anyone around me said and we were drawing in a group! I added leather sandals to the right foot because I bought a Roman Army book from Osprey Books that same day and was reading it just before I started this. When my mind went blank, I drew the sandals.
Ink + Watercolor wash. A5 size.
