This is Wimpy Troll. This is not his real name, just what we call him. He's really not wimpy as we understand it, either. He's just a very sensitive young troll, a dreamer. He loves to read, write short stories and poetry, and it's his aspiration to one day become a poet laureate. One of his heroes is Rabindranath Tagore. However, he happens to be born to a race whose culture do not value humanities (especially art and literature) nor do anything just for the purpose of edification. These pursuits are not seen as 'useful' by the other trolls as they don't see an immediate practical value of it, so Wimpy Troll was constantly mocked, harassed and bullied for simply being himself.

One Hundred Trolls
This blog is conceived as a thought experiment, a creative exchange for ideas where a hundred trolls of different forms would be envisioned and rendered. From the Wikipedia entry on the mythical being: "In Old Norse sources, beings described as trolls dwell in isolated rocks, mountains, or caves, live together in small family units, and are rarely helpful to human beings." Blog Cleanup.
I've cleaned up the blog posts of the various saved drafts. They don't interfere with the published post in any way but its probably neater on the back end.
I won't delete any published posts, don't worry but please give all future posts a title. Get er done!

greenish blue troll???
I was trying out a new green-blue watercolour pencil I bought. I used it to tint the page before drawing over it with normal coloured pencils.

Giant troll
Pigment ink, A5, 135gsm drawing block paper.
This was an experiment with a different style. I wanted to see how I could do something from a more design orientation. It is a simple sketch.
